One in four adults and one in ten children experience mental health problems at some point, which is the main reason why mental health training gained on importance in the last few years. It is all about how we think, feel and behave. Mental Health problems are often a reaction to a difficult life event, such as bereavement, but can also be caused by work-related issues.

Work-related stress can lead to physical and psychological damage, including anxiety and depression. Whether work is causing the health issue or aggravating it, employers have a legal responsibility to help their employees. Work-related mental health issues must be assessed to measure the levels of risk to staff.

By taking action on work-related stress, employers will meet parts of the core standards framework, as they will form part of mental health at work plan, promote communication and open conversations, by raising awareness and reducing stigma and provide a mechanism for monitoring actions and outcomes.

The Mental Health First Aid courses teach staff how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and provide support and guidance to employees. Mental Health training reduces the stigma associated with mental health issues and provides staff with the knowledge and understanding to make positive changes within the workplace.

We can arrange the delivery of a range of different Mental Health courses at different venues throughout the UK and at our Customers premises. These courses have been developed by Nuco in association with First Aid Awards (FAA), allowing us to deliver courses that provide recognised qualifications for individuals in and out of the workplace
