Description
The First Aid at Work (3 day) course will provide you with the qualification and training you need to help treat someone who is injured or ill at work. This three-day training covers a multitude of first aid skills including but not limited to the following:
- Resuscitation.
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- Control of bleeding.
- Management of burns
- Head injuries
- Fractures
- Spinal injuries
- How to Recognize and treat common medical conditions.
- Contents of First Aid Boxes
- Demonstrate safe use of the Automated External Defibrillator. (AED)

Course Duration
The First Aid at Work is a 3 day course, with each day lasting approximately 6 hours.
Who should attend?
An employer should make an assessment of first-aid needs appropriate to the circumstances (hazards and risks) of each workplace. First Aid at Work training includes Emergency First Aid at Work and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. This training is appropriate for individuals working in high-risk environments.

Assessment
Learners will need to demonstrate their ability to use the skills covered on the course to receive the First Aid at Work qualification. Candidates must attend all first aid training sessions in order to be eligible for receiving a certificate.
